What does RETROSPEC Africa Stand for

RETROSPEC Africa is an acronym that stands to Re-Establish Tradition Through Societal Practices, Education and Culture. It Provides concepts that trigger community development through Community led initiatives based on societal practices.

We are working in  four (4) areas of interest listed below

- Culture and Livelihood development systems

-Education and youth Career advancement initiatives

- Good Leadership for Rural Development

- Health Education and Sanitation

Details of our work

1. Good, Sustainable and Performance sensitive Leadership for Rural Development.

   a. Creating a citizen Government engagement involving Leaders and beneficiaries through basic assessment of performances to identify gaps and defining the way forward.

   b. symposiums to sensitize communities on choosing the right people into leadership irrespective of political affiliation, ethnicity, race, religion,status or social class.

2. Culture/Livelihoods.

   a. Our Community based cultural groups/clubs  engaged in all activities targeted towards protecting and maintaining our rich cultures.

   b. Establishing a livelihood development system by strengthening cultural vocations.

   c. Organizing training programmes for  traditional leaders on topics such as management of community assets, conflict resolution, institution of bye laws, community mobilization and many others.

 

3. Education/Career Development

  a. Career counseling in basic and secondary schools to help shape them into taking up the right jobs targeted at parents, the people, teachers and the individual school child.

 b. Educational  and entertaining activities such as Quiz, Essay, Debate, Reading, Spelling competitions that sparks up good examination performance in schools, starting from the basic education levels.

   c. Engaging the educational institutions and prominent personalities to advocate for the ways to restructure the educational system to be career sensitive.

  d.School based cultural clubs that engage in all activities geared towards promoting culture, building up the youth and environmental protection.

4. Health education and Sanitation

Western civilization and technology has resulted in the  creation of scientific foods, sophisticated machinery and production of non degradable pollutants which adversely affect man  and his environment, thus resulting in reduction in life expectancy rate, land degradation, depletion of the ozone and many others. we carry out the activities listed below.

1. Promotion of Regenerative health and nutrition

2. Education on Good environmental sanitation

3. Promotion of Healthy lifestyles in communities and Schools

4. Environmental conservation
